Dr. Lamparyk is a pediatric psychologist specializing in gastroenterological disorders and the brain-gut connection. She has over ten years of experience researching and developing effective treatments for various GI conditions.
After completing her doctorate education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and residency at University of Minnesota Medical School, Amplatz Children’s Hospital, Dr. Lamparyk received additional training in pediatric feeding disorders and pain associated disability syndrome at the Cleveland Clinic before developing and leading the Behavioral GI Program embedded within Cleveland Clinic Children’s Pediatric Gastroenterology Department.
In this role, Dr. Lamparyk research and developed several psychological and behavioral protocols for treating disorders of gut-brain-interaction, complimenting medical interventions. This included developing a complex interdisciplinary group treatment program for functional constipation and encopresis, treatment protocol for functional abdominal pain related disorders, Rumination Disorder treatment, and integrated psychological care for children and adolescents coping with chronic GI conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

When not talking passionately about poop and vomit, Dr. Lamparyk enjoys spending time with her family and three young girls, soaking up nature, and starting home improvement projects. She is an Ohio native and “east-sider”, who grew up developing the underdog grit of a Cleveland sports fan.
